Holly Owens, a Licensed Acupuncturist, earned her Master's Degree in Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2022.  As an acupuncturist, she is passionate about providing care that combines evidence-based science with the energetic wisdom of the human body.  She believes healing is a collaborative process and cares deeply about incorporating sensitivity, listening, and patient empowerment into health care.  She has experience treating various conditions, including digestive disorders, autoimmune conditions, fertility and menstrual imbalances, pregnancy, allergies, headaches, anxiety, stress, pain, and sleep disturbances.  Her mission is to improve the world of medicine, one patient at a time.  Through a variety of alternative treatments and approaches, the potential for self-healing can be unlocked resulting in improvements as early as the first session.

Outside the treatment room, Holly is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor leading rich, soulful yoga classes including Vinyasa, Slow Deep Fusion (blend of yin and yang yoga), Yin Yoga, Beginners Yoga, and Aerial Yoga.  She completed her 200 & 300-hour training at Om My Yoga Academy in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania in 2014 & 2016.

Holly grew up in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania graduating from Delone Catholic High School in 1996 and California University of Pennsylvania in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  After a decade-long career in the corporate world, she suffered physically and mentally from a lifestyle not aligned with her true nature resulting in a Crohn’s Disease diagnosis in 2009.  With the combination of yoga, acupuncture, determination, and lifestyle changes, healing took place beyond her expectations for her body, mind, & spirit.  Her journey inspired a deep passion for living a life dedicated to alleviating suffering in the world through the art of Acupuncture.

MY OATH

I solemnly promise, as an Acupuncturist, to practice my art to the best of my ability.  I will use my knowledge and skills to aid in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.  I will wholeheartedly help my patients to understand imbalances, treatment, and outcomes.  I will encourage my patients to participate in decisions when it comes to their health.

I will endeavor to alleviate their fears and recognize that occasionally the most meaningful treatment may be to listen with kindness and understanding.

I will treat my patients with dignity and will give them the respect and privacy that I would hope to receive myself.  I will keep their trust and preserve confidentiality.

I respect the wisdom of my teachers and share my knowledge for the benefit of the health of others.  I will strive to further my education and develop habits that promote further intellectual growth.

I am proud to practice medicine to the best of my ability and humble enough to know when the assistance of others is necessary.  I will encourage and cooperate with all others involved in the care of my patients.

I will live and practice medicine for the benefit of my community.   It is my mission to ease suffering in the world using acupuncture as a gift to be shared with humanity.
